Top 5 Moments from The Walking Dead S8E10 "The Lost and the Plunderers"

Warning: this blog contains spoilers!

The Walking Dead is keeping a frantic pace in the second half of season eight.

Titled “The Lost and the Plunderers,” the episode saw allegiances tested and the gore-factor cranked up a few notches. Familiar faces are resurfacing, and old decisions are coming back to haunt various characters – some with fatal results.

Check out our picks for this episode’s top five moments!

05. Oceanside Shows Enid and Aaron Mercy

After Enid killed the leader of Oceanside in what seemed to be defense of Aaron, the two found themselves facing potential execution. But Cyndie, the older granddaughter, spared them.  It’s also interesting to compare the talk the Oceansiders had with Enid and Aaron to the one Morgan, Ezekiel, and Carol had with Gavin last week. One person’s hero can be another’s villain.

04. Rick and Negan Have a Serious Chat

No theatrics, no puns, no bravado – just the show’s two leading men having a serious talk about the war, the losses, and the way it all could’ve possibly been avoided. Negan blamed Carl’s death on Rick, a harsh sentiment even considering the man who said it. Also, Carl’s letter recipients’ names being used as title cards was a creative touch.

03. A Special Delivery Arrives at the Sanctuary

While Carl sent some heartwarming letters, Maggie sent an emphatic message through a very grim package. Upon prying open the coffin and finding the zombified Savior, Negan and Simon clashed on what to do. Maggie’s move may have helped breed more division between the boss and his right-hand man. Speaking of which…

02. Simon Takes Out the Garbage, People

After being assigned to visit Jadis and her “Heapsters” to get them back on board with The Saviors, Simon seemed to become agitated by their willingness to work with Rick. Despite being ordered to kill only one person, Simon killed two -  immediately after confiscating all their weapons. When Jadis hit him in retaliation, he ordered the execution of all her people. He aimed to make them feel remorse, but will he be the one who’s sorry once Negan finds out he disobeyed orders?

01. Jadis Disposes of Her Zombified Trash-Family

That's the proper term, right? The garbage people are so despised, the writers decided to kill them all twice in the same episode - the second time with a machine designed to grind-up trash! This was actually a very powerful scene that combined the creative gross-out factor of seeing walker after walker ground into red goo with the slightly sorrowful sight of a near-catatonic Jadis soaking in the trauma of the moment. She tried to convince Rick and Michonne to help her escape the walker-filled pit, but her plea was rejected. Can’t blame them – guess the triple-cross wasn’t such a good idea in hindsight.

5 Ways All Out War Could've Been Better

Warning - this blog contains spoilers! As part of our celebration of the end of the war arc, we decided to look back and discuss how things could've been improved. If you've followed our coverage of season 8, you know we loved it! But even so, it doesn't mean things couldn't have been done differently. Here are 5 ways we think All Out War could've been better. 5. The Pacing Could've Been Sped Up Significantly Going by Maggie's lack of a baby bump, we can conclude the war took place over a much shorter period than many fans thought. From the beginning of season 7 with Abraham and Glenn meeting Lucille to the finale of season 8 with Negan being imprisoned, only a month or two could've passed at most . That's a pretty radical pacing change for a show that used to move things along quickly. Squeezing 32 episodes into such a short span helped us meet a lot of new faces and explore the bigger world the show is trying to focus on, but it also...

10 Opponents Daniel Bryan Could Face in his WWE Return

HE'S BACK! After more than two years off the active roster, Daniel Bryan has been cleared for an in-ring return. No official date for a return match has been given and no opponent has been named, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate. We hope Bryan has plenty of matches coming up in his new run - ah, that feels good to say. Here are ten wrestlers we'd like to see him face! 10. Baron Corbin Bryan's time in a Smackdown managerial role saw him have words with Corbin on multiple occasions. It'd make for a good backstory if they fought, and it'd be a fresh matchup. 09. Kevin Owens and/or Sami Zayn We put these two together because they've been a collective thorn in Bryan's side for months. Maybe he and Shane could team together and take on the duo of "Kami" in a tag match? 08. Roman Reigns These two had a great match years ago on the road to WrestleMania, and it was Reigns who came out on top. We've got to think Brya...

Uber Self-Driving Car Kills Pedestrian

On the night of March 18, a self-driving vehicle struck a pedestrian in Tempe, Arizona. The woman was attempting to cross the street when the crash occurred, and passed away after being transported to a local medical facility. Though a driver using Tesla's advanced auto-pilot feature passed away in a 2016 crash , this marks the first known pedestrian fatality involving a self-driving vehicle. As a result, Arizona governor Doug Ducey has suspended tests of autonomous cars on the state's roads until further notice. Emails obtained after the incident suggest the governor was allowing Uber to test their vehicles in the state without informing the public. Uber executive Lior Ron has stepped down amid the controversy. Even business partners like Nvidia are distancing themselves from Uber because of the accident. The company is facing flack for reportedly removing several sensors from their self-driving vehicles prior to testing. Though Uber hasn't released an off...
