Top 5 Moments From The Walking Dead Season 8B Premiere

WARNING: This blog contains spoilers!

They’re back, and they’re ready to finish the fight.

The Walking Dead wasted no time putting things right back in motion with the episode “Honor.” The war is still testing the survivors’ will to live and their desire to retain their humanity. Meanwhile, one of the “Atlanta Four” says goodbye.

Here are our picks for the premiere's top five moments.

05. Morgan’s Gut-Wrenching Kill

Looking back, it seems funny that Morgan was once criticized for being too passive. This episode saw him pull off one of the most brutal kills in the show’s history. While battling Saviors to rescue Ezekiel, Morgan reached into a man’s abdominal wound and literally pulled his guts out. We thought he'd go for an Eastman-style armbar counter, but disembowelment works just as well.

04. Morgan and Carol Clear The Kingdom

While not as brutal as Morgan’s big finale, this series of scenes saw two of the show’s most badass characters trekking through the shadows, strategizing, and slowly taking out Savior after Savior on their way to save Ezekiel. Now THIS is what we love about the show!

03. Carl Says Goodbye

Well, we love this aspect of the show too. Carl’s death was sad, beautiful, and gripping all at once. He showed courage and hope in his final hours, reminding us all how great his character really was. Sometimes a heartbreaking loss needed to reinvigorate stories. As odd as it sounds, Carl’s death may be enough to motivate Rick to keep going – toward a future that’s more than war, bloodshed, and killing. Major props to Chandler Riggs for his performance on the show. We’ll miss you, man.

02. We See More Visions of Old Rick – and Old Negan!

We got to see old Rick once more, walking through what looked to be a relatively harmonious and prosperous community. He was with Judith, Eugene, Jerry and…Negan?! It seems the peaceful world possibly in the show’s future somehow includes our primary antagonist. Only instead of swinging Lucille he was – picking tomatoes? Alright writers, we want to see how this plays out.

01. Henry Kills Gavin

The show has a tradition of kids doing gruesome things just as well as adults. We saw it with Lizzie, we saw it with Ron, and now we see it with Henry, the staff-wielding younger brother of Benjamin, who was killed by Jared from Gavin’s pick-up group. The show teased Gavin’s death while Carl spoke about mercy and being more than a killer. After Morgan gave an impassioned speech about how he had to end Gavin’s life, we thought he did – only to find out it was young Henry who was wielding the weapon. It was somewhat predictable that a major Savior would meet their end in the premiere, but the kid being the killer? That’s a dark twist! Well done, writers. Well done.

10 Opponents Daniel Bryan Could Face in his WWE Return

HE'S BACK! After more than two years off the active roster, Daniel Bryan has been cleared for an in-ring return. No official date for a return match has been given and no opponent has been named, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate. We hope Bryan has plenty of matches coming up in his new run - ah, that feels good to say. Here are ten wrestlers we'd like to see him face! 10. Baron Corbin Bryan's time in a Smackdown managerial role saw him have words with Corbin on multiple occasions. It'd make for a good backstory if they fought, and it'd be a fresh matchup. 09. Kevin Owens and/or Sami Zayn We put these two together because they've been a collective thorn in Bryan's side for months. Maybe he and Shane could team together and take on the duo of "Kami" in a tag match? 08. Roman Reigns These two had a great match years ago on the road to WrestleMania, and it was Reigns who came out on top. We've got to think Brya...

Uber Self-Driving Car Kills Pedestrian

On the night of March 18, a self-driving vehicle struck a pedestrian in Tempe, Arizona. The woman was attempting to cross the street when the crash occurred, and passed away after being transported to a local medical facility. Though a driver using Tesla's advanced auto-pilot feature passed away in a 2016 crash , this marks the first known pedestrian fatality involving a self-driving vehicle. As a result, Arizona governor Doug Ducey has suspended tests of autonomous cars on the state's roads until further notice. Emails obtained after the incident suggest the governor was allowing Uber to test their vehicles in the state without informing the public. Uber executive Lior Ron has stepped down amid the controversy. Even business partners like Nvidia are distancing themselves from Uber because of the accident. The company is facing flack for reportedly removing several sensors from their self-driving vehicles prior to testing. Though Uber hasn't released an off...

5 Ways All Out War Could've Been Better

Warning - this blog contains spoilers! As part of our celebration of the end of the war arc, we decided to look back and discuss how things could've been improved. If you've followed our coverage of season 8, you know we loved it! But even so, it doesn't mean things couldn't have been done differently. Here are 5 ways we think All Out War could've been better. 5. The Pacing Could've Been Sped Up Significantly Going by Maggie's lack of a baby bump, we can conclude the war took place over a much shorter period than many fans thought. From the beginning of season 7 with Abraham and Glenn meeting Lucille to the finale of season 8 with Negan being imprisoned, only a month or two could've passed at most . That's a pretty radical pacing change for a show that used to move things along quickly. Squeezing 32 episodes into such a short span helped us meet a lot of new faces and explore the bigger world the show is trying to focus on, but it also...
