5 Ways All Out War Could've Been Better

Warning - this blog contains spoilers! As part of our celebration of the end of the war arc, we decided to look back and discuss how things could've been improved. If you've followed our coverage of season 8, you know we loved it! But even so, it doesn't mean things couldn't have been done differently. Here are 5 ways we think All Out War could've been better. 5. The Pacing Could've Been Sped Up Significantly Going by Maggie's lack of a baby bump, we can conclude the war took place over a much shorter period than many fans thought. From the beginning of season 7 with Abraham and Glenn meeting Lucille to the finale of season 8 with Negan being imprisoned, only a month or two could've passed at most . That's a pretty radical pacing change for a show that used to move things along quickly. Squeezing 32 episodes into such a short span helped us meet a lot of new faces and explore the bigger world the show is trying to focus on, but it also

Top 5 Moments From The Walking Dead Season 8 Finale "Wrath"

Warning - this blog contains spoilers! The war is over! After it looked like Negan had the high ground going into the final battle, the combined efforts of everyone helped ensure his defeat.  Rick also showed how to (almost) shut Negan up - a knife to the throat! Here are our picks for the top five moments in The Walking Dead season 8 finale "Wrath!" 05. Daryl Spares Dwight Daryl and Dwight have been strangers, allies, enemies, and everything in between throughout the war. After the battle concluded, Dwight was ready to accept his fate for the terrible things he'd done. But his heartfelt apology seemed to sway Daryl, who handed over a set of car keys and sent Dwight on his way to find Sherry. After visiting their old house, he found a note - what a throwback! Could Dwight's former love still be alive? 04. Oceanside Joins the War It seemed like things could get tense at the Hilltop when a large group of Saviors approached. But the Oceansiders

Top 5 Moments From The Walking Dead S8E15 "Worth"

Warning: this blog contains spoilers! Negan is back - and he's cleaning house after being left behind. S8E15 served to remind us of just how formidable the Saviors' leader can be both combatively and tactically. It also reinforced his opinion on traitors. We saw how Rosita and Daryl viewed traitors, too. With the war set to end next episode, has Negan put things in place for a deadly final attack? Check out our picks for the top five moments in "Worth." 5. Rick and Negan Read Carl's Letters Technically Negan had it read to him, but still. Carl asked Rick to make a safe world where people could enjoy normal lives. Carl asked Negan for peace and told him it wasn't too late. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to agree. 4. Dwight Betrays Simon Negan's return shocked many at the Sanctuary, especially the new man-in-charge. Despite being forgiven by Negan for massacring the scavengers, Simon urged Dwight to join him in overthrowing the

Top 5 Moments From The Walking Dead S8E14 "Still Gotta Mean Something"

Warning: this blog contains spoilers! A man's word means a lot - but war can change everything.  The gruesome battle at Hilltop left people missing and POWs on the run. As the search ensued, we got some more backstory on enigmatic characters and iconic weapons alike. Here are our picks for the top five moments from this episode! 05. Jadis Cleans Up Well The triple-crossing trash queen showed a different side in this episode. Wearing normal clothes and revealing a spotless dwelling hidden in the heaps, she seems more relatable than ever. There's still something off about her, made obvious by her use of a weaponized walker/cart hybrid. Unfortunately, her well-kempt appearance wasn't enough to get the passing helicopter to land. 04. The Origins of Lucille All those "don't you touch her" lines finally make sense. While in the custody of Jadis, Negan revealed his beloved baseball bat was named after his late wife. By the sound of it, sh
